ALBERT HANDAL
Albert Nejib Handal is a native of the south. He was born in 1982 to a happily married missionary mother and a medical student father in Metairie, Louisiana. After school and residency, the family eventually settled in Portland, Tennessee near the campus of Highland Academy. Albert started at Southern Adventist University in 2000 and received his BA in Theology in 2004. He was hired by the Georgia Cumberland Conference during his senior year and was sent after graduation to the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University. Albert finds it odd and cumbersome when he has to describe himself in the third person. For this reason Albert will now start writing in the first person. When I'm not hanging out with kids, I'm probably biking or running through the beautiful hills of northwest Georgia.

I have a real passion for the spiritual maturity of young people. My dream is to introduce young people to Jesus and disciple them into positions of leadership and influence as they grow older. The words of Jesus ring in my ears, "Suffer the little children to come unto me, and do nothing to hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these" Mark 10:14. There is no question in my mind that Jesus has a special place in his heart for the children of this world.
